Our Why

In October 2023, I lost my grandma to Alzheimer's disease. She was my best friend my whole life. I was born on her 50th birthday and I would always joke that meant I was her favorite grandchild. She'd laugh and tell me I was her favorite birthday present.

I could tell my grandma anything and I knew she'd always listen with zero judgement. She kept my biggest secrets and she always gave the best advice. Anyone who ever met her, loved her. I miss her so much every single day and am so very grateful I was able to hold her hand as she took her last breath.

Grandma is my why in what we are doing. While finding a cure for this horrible disease would be amazing, the families facing this now also need our help. Grandma's number one priority in life was family. She believed family was the most important thing and I know if she were here today, she'd tell me to help the families; so that's what we're going to do! The Teresa Foundation is named after Grandma and helping families in any way that we can is why we are here.

Our vision is to create a world where empathy and understanding guide us through every step of the journey for all those impacted by Alzheimer's, fostering a network of compassion, support, and empowerment. Our mission is to help families and caregivers navigate the challenges of Alzheimer's with dignity and love!

Every day, as we work toward our vision, we carry Grandma's spirit with us. The Teresa Foundation stands as a tribute to her love, and our mission is a testament to her belief in the power of family. In her memory, we strive to provide solace and hope to families and caregivers. I love knowing that Grandma's legacy lives on in the compassion we extend to others each day.
